It’s already that time again! I feel like everybody says that, but it’s true! May was a pretty good reading month; I finished 7 books! For some reason I’ve been putting so much stress on myself to read more and finish more books. And I guess it’s sort of paying off..? June I want to be more chill, but my Goodreads goal keeps looming over me. Anyone less get that feeling?
ANYWHO, on to the wrap up!
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows
First up! I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This was a first for me, reading this series. I’m sad that it has come to an end. I’m thinking I might Get the audiobooks and start a re-read real soon. I knew some spoilers going in the series, but especially this book. I still cried. For my full review click here.
The Princess Saves Herself in This One
Okay, a couple days later I finished my second ever poetry collection. Look Ma I’m trying to diversify my reading. I like this one. There were a lot of poems I didn’t connect with, but I connected with a lot more, especially compared to my first poetry collection (Goodreads).
Wonder Women: 25 Innovators, Inventors, and Trailblazers Who Change History
Well, isn’t that a title and a half! I don’t have much to say on this one. It was interesting for the most part. It was cool to learn about different women in history of race and LGBT community. Thank you to my kind co-worker for lending me this! This is definitely a book of celebrating women (Goodreads).
Orphan Monster Spy
This is now one of my favourite books of all time. I had so much fun reading this, and it was exactly what I was craving. I loved Sarah, the main protagonist, she was witty and quick on her feet. I liked her back story and how that gave her an advantage. For a full review click here.
Throne of Glass
Unpopular opinion time! I hated this book… There was so much I didn’t like in it. To get a taste of what I didn’t like click here.
The Poet X
Now this one I liked a lot. I really wish I had this book when I was in high school. I connected to Xiomara so much. She was strong and intelligent. Interesting enough this book is told in verse, which is a very new experience and made it a quick read. There were strong themes in the book that made me enjoy it more. For a full review click here.
This was one very intriguing book. The writing style wasn’t a great choice in audiobook form, especially with my Firbo Fog. I kept feeling like I missed something so I would rewound it to discover I didn’t miss anything. I think I would have liked it more if I read the physical book. Maybe I will give it another go in the future. For more click here.
Well, that’s it for the wrap up!
I got so content in the works for you guys! Look forward to a book review on Obsidio, a book tag that someone tagged me to do, and a more in dept look into Anne of Green Gables.
As Always thanks for reading!
