Surprise! A review on a Wednesday! I’ve been thinking I should add a day each week until I’m all caught up on my reviews, but lets see if I can hold to that more than once, haha.
Today’s review is for Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett, which is set mostly camping under the stars (Goodreads). I decided to pick this up because a Booktuber Chelseadolling Reads recommended it, but being a YA contemporary book it was easy to read to help me reach beyond my 2018 year reading goal. This book reminded me so much when I would go camping (it was more lamping [luxury camping]). I always loved looking at the stars and spotting bats flying around without the light pollution of the city.

My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
I had a lot of fun reading Zorie and Lennon’s story. I think that I loved camping helped a lot. Just as I mentioned above, I loved looking at the stars so did Zorie, but she was a little more into it than just tilting your head back and spotting the big Dipper. She was even part of a club and I really admired that. She enjoyed what she wanted, nah-sayers be damned. Then there was Lennon, first off I love Lennon as a first name. I really enjoyed his family and their involvement in the story. Let alone the adorable love story between the best friends to haters, to lovers.
I must say I didn’t love the beginning because everyone not being nice for the drama, but I kind of liked it too, very dramatic. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. I highly recommend it!
As always, thanks for reading!
