After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid: Book Review

To be frank, I’m not sure how to review this because I read this during an extremely hard and emotional time for me (still going through it now too). My rating and my love for the book is mainly the emotional connection I had with it.

After I Do is about a married couple who have fallen out of love and decide to take some time apart (Goodreads). Yeah, my summaries suck, but just check out Goodreads!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Taylor Jenkins Reid is now one of my favourite authors. I have now read 3 of her books, and soon to be four. I think it’s partly due to the fact she’s writing character close to my age group because I feel like she is writing to me personally. I have related with every main character so far. Boy, I cried pretty much the whole time reading After I do (mainly my situation, but partly because of the book).

My favourite was the family. Lauren’s family was so great and I liked that they helped her so much through this difficult time with kindness and some tough love. They also helped me too.

As always, thanks for reading!
