March TBR 2019

Good Hello, friends! Today, I don’t feel up to doing a review and thought doing a TBR would be fun! In one of the Owlcrate subscription boxes I got a reading planner and I love it for planning my reading and writing a review right after finishing a book.

Here is what I plan to read this month:

Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James

I preordered this as soon as I was told that it was African Game of Thrones. Yes, please! I started it as soon as I got it. But I put it down for Contemporaryathon. I have since picked it back up, it’s just taking me a while to read it. It’s very good and getting better all the time, but it’s a very dense and long fantasy.

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Another book i started in another month and hoping to finish this month. I started this back in January, but I put it down so I could read books all by black authors for Black History Month. It’s going to feel so good to finally finish this! So far, I’ve been hating this almost as much as the first one, but I’ve been having fun hating on it while I read. I guess you could say I’ve been enjoying it more than the first, sort of. Haha.

They Called My Wyatt by Natasha Tynes

I was given this to read for review at the beginning of February. I’m kind of excited to see what’s it about. I’ve only just started it yesterday and I have no memory of what’s it about. So I’m going in pretty much blind.

King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

I’ve been so excited for this. I even ordered a special copy with a personalized signature by Leigh. I’m nervous to read it now because I’ve heard mixed reviews by a lot of people and many I trust. I just hope I love it.

The Fifth Season by N. K. Jemisin

I first had this on my February TBR, but I didn’t have enough time to get to it so it’s now on my March TBR! I really want to watch the adaptation after!

A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare

Now February is over, it’s time to continue reading Shakespeare! This is the next fully dramatized audiobook I have. I’m excited to read it! I hope I hope I have an easier time reading this than I did Hamlet.

One True loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I’m really excited to read more of Reid’s books. This is also from February that I didn’t have time to get to. I might also try to read Forever, Interrupted this month too. We’ll have to see since half of the books on my TBR are over 500 pages. There’s of course, her new book that just came out, but I’ll probably won’t get to it until April.

The Darkest Mind by Alexandra Bracken

If you follow me on Bookstagram then you would have seen that I created a TBR jar for myself! March is the first month I got to pull from it. It has 41 books to pick from that I’m less motivated to read. This month I picked The Darkest Mind. I’m very hopeful that I’ll like it!

As always, thanks for reading!
