The Tea Dragon Society by Katie O’Neill: Book Review

Good hello, friends! I’m feeling better than I was yesterday and feeling up to writing a review! My next review as the title tells you is The Tea Dragon Society! I got this special edition in an Owlcrate box; I love it so much.

My Lame Synopsis: a cute graphic novel where leaves grown from dragons are used to make tea (Goodreads).

My Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

As you could tell from the cover, the artwork is adorable. It has that innocent style that adds to the story. The magical world seemed wholesome with a hint of danger if not careful. I appreciated seeing anxiety and disability represented in different characters. The relationship between the characters were beautiful; I loved the flashbacks that really gave the relationships context and more depth.

The story was a little simple at face value, but when looking for themes that isn’t true. Throughout the story settle messages are told to the reader that important for any age, but especially younger readers.

Have you read The Tea Dragon Society? I would absolutely love some recommends of similar graphic novels!

As always, thanks for reading!
