Good hello, friends! I can’t believe it’s May! I’m sure a lot of people say that, haha. It’s just this month is my birthday month and I don’t know how I feel about getting older, haha.. Anyway! For this month I’m giving myself a light TBR. The reasons are when April ended I lost all of my motivation to read, I want room to add whatever I feel in the mood for, and it being my birthday month I’m very likely going to go buy more and want to read them immediately.
Let’s just jump into it!
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
How many TBRs has this been on now? I think 3? It’s finally definitely happening because I have already started it. I’m only on page 30, but hey, it’s a start!
Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare
For May, I’m to be all about the past.
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
Finally getting around to reading the sequel! I may have to read a summary of Ember in the Ashes to refresh my memory of what happened.
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
I’m really deep diving in WWII this month!
Mein Kampf by Adolf Hilter
I can see how this may seem odd to some people. I decided after talking to a friend to read Mein Kampf because I have always heard Hitler’s views from an opposing view and wanted to hear the hate from the horse’s mouth. I have already started the audiobook for this, and oh man, this little man had so much hate.
Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare
The Queen of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner
Another sequel that I’m finally getting around to! I managed to read The Thief twice last year and The Queen of Attolia no times, haha.
I’m relieved that I’m going easy on myself for this month’s TBR, the last few months I’ve been struggling to complete all the books I hoped to get to. This way I can finish my whole TBR and add probably more as I go too.
As always, thanks for reading!
