The Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab: Book Review

Good hello, friends! Who’s ready for unpopular opinion?! If you have been following be for a bit, you know Schwab was one of my favourite authors, but that changed when I DNF’ed Vengeful (Why I DNF’ed Vengeful By V. E. Schwab). Now that I have finished this series and Our Dark Duet to finish that series, I think I’m done with her books.

My Lame Synopsis: It’s the third book, so no spoilers (Goodreads)!

My Rating: 3.75 out of 5 stars

Okay, let’s get something out of the way, book 2, A Gathering of Shadows did nothing for the series. I feel like that was a huge waste of my time especially after finishing this book. Now I know how it all ends… A Conjuring of Light was so much better. It was a way better story with more action and tension that book 2 lacked. I was more engaged and invested in what happened. There was character growth that provoked an emotional response from me. I just love Rhy, Alucard, Lila and Kell, but Lila is definitely my favourite character, despite some of her choices I didn’t love. I guess that’s partly why I love her, she does want she wants, always.

For it being the last book in a series, it had such a satisfying ending, sad, but satisfying,

As always, thanks for reading!
