Good hello, friends! Another start of the week, another Down The TBR Hole! I’ve been going a little crazy with adding books to my Goodreads TBR lately, so I’m definitely glad I’m doing this!
Down The TBR Hole was originally created by Lost In A Story and the lovely logo!
Anyway, it works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
Let’s Just Jump Into It!
1. Doctor Sleep by Stephen King
Well, I just learned that Doctor Sleep is the sequel to The Shining, uh, Interesting. I loved the movie and that’s saying something because I don’t like to be scared. I’ve only recently decided to read thrillers/horror books and yet I’ve owned this book for at least three years. Oops! I’m thinking of making a goal for myself to read one thriller/horror each month to get through the ones I’ve had for too long. Goodreads
Judgement: Maybe Keep
2. Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky
I, once again, have no memory of adding Children of Time, but it’s not magic sooo… Haha. I feel a little guilty because it has such a good rating of 4.30 average, but I don’t have any interest in reading this. I would rather watch Wall-e. Goodreads
3. When the Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore
I was so excited about this book because of the hype it got whenever I saw it reviewed on BookTube, which recently happened again too. But it’s synopsis is not making me excited anymore… BYEE! Goodreads
4. The German Girl by Amando Lucas Currea
It may be mainly because it’s historical fiction, but also, partly because it was made into a movie that I want to keep it.. I’m not ready to cry yet, though. Goodreads
5. All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
I’m not ready to ugly cry like I’m expecting All the Light We Cannot See is going to make me do and The German Girl too. But how do I not keep it with all the amazing reviews I’ve seen? Goodreads
As always, thanks for reading!
